Suspected Guyanese drug trafficker arrested in Jamaica

Arrested: Shervington Lovell

A Businessman who is the owner of a string of hotels across Guyana was arrested in Jamaica for suspected drug trafficking and money laundering, law enforcement confirmed.

In police custody is Shervington Lovell called “Big Head”. He was arrested in the company of two others.

Reports indicate that the arrest was piloted by the DEA, Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit and drug enforcement officers of Jamaica.

Law enforcement officials noted that the DEA will be seeking to extradite Lovell. He was previously wanted in Guyana various execution probes and drug trafficking cases.
