State-owned telecom company begins sales of IPhone 4

Port-of-Spain. The Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) is celebrating a successful launch of the Apple IPhone 4g in Trinidad and Tobago and the company says that is providing the best offer it can to citizens.

The IPhone is arguably the most innovative smartphone in the world at this time. TSTT's Vice-President of Legal, Regulatory and Carrier Services says the company is very excited to have been given the opportunity to bring the phone to this country, adding that Apple is very picky about who its distributors are.

TSTT is marketing the IPhone with its 4g Wimax Network to ensure that the IPhone operates with 4g speed. The phones must be purchase with a two-year contract because of Apple's requirements but Agard says the consumer should benefit by from about $8000 worth of service with the purchase.

The phone is already being marketed at the company's branches and on its website.
