Imagine a soft drink made from cow urine! According to a report in the Times of India, the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has plans to create the beverage called "gau jal", which means "cow water", by the end of 2011.
The head of the department said that cow urine can be used to treat a number of ailments such as cancer and liver disease and claimed that it will be tasty despite several concerns raised.
