Georgetown: Robeson Benn Jr. who is the son of Senior Minister of Public Works Robeson Benn was arrested after allegations that he sexually and physically assaulted his ex girlfriend Sunday last.
His ex -girlfriend, 27-year old Vanisha Seenauth filed an official complaint and Benn Jr could be charged with assault and actual bodily harm. The physical assault against the young woman has left her with a swollen right eye and bruises to the head.
Reports reveal that the couple were separated at the time of the ordeal, but the violent relationship started in 2012. On three previous occasions reports were made but in those cases the young lady dropped the charges and the complaints. However, after being badly battered Sunday last she carried through with her report at the Brickdam Police Station. Benn junior was questioned at the said station then he was transferred to the East La Penitence Police where he was placed on station bail.
