Senior citizens burnt to death at home

Essequibo : About 11p.m, yesterday a fire of so far unknown origin destroyed a house at Good Hope, East Bank Essequibo.

The charred remains of rice farmer Mohamed Munir, 75 years, and his wife Bibi Jamila Munir, 69 years, who lived in the building, were found among the debris after the fire was extinguished.

Investigations are in progress.
