Seal’s behaviour leaves experts bewildered

According to a report by the NZ Herald, a seal pup, last Sunday, hauled himself out of the water at Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, crossed some busy streets, hence the name Lucky, and ended up resting on a sofa of a resident’s Welcome Bay home after squeezing its way in through a cat flap.

Experts called these actions weird, bizarre and uncommon. According to one wildlife expert, resting on a couch seems like a very odd place for a seal to go since seals don't have very good vision when they are on land as their eyes are suited for the water.

The NZ Herald reported that Department of Conservation rangers have already plonked the seal pup back into the sea twice before and they aren't convinced it won't drop in to someone else's house soon.
