Georgetown : The Commission of Inquiry into the death of Dr. Walter Rodney paid a courtesy call, on the Leader of the Opposition and representatives of A Partnership for National Unity.
Sir Richard Cheltenham QC, Ms. Jacqueline Samuels-Brown QC, and Mr. Seenauth Jairam SC, met with Brigadier David Granger, Dr. Rupert Roopnarine, Mr. Basil Williams and Mr. Joseph Harmon. The Partnership used the opportunity to convey to the commissions its concerns about the COI’s term of reference and the selection of Commissioner Jairam. The meeting was informative and cordial.
APNU expressed the hope that the Rodney Commission of Inquiry would prove to be a source of healing.
