Barbadian international singing sensation Rihanna will be performing in Barbados on November 2.
According to Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy, the concert will be part of the Caribbean leg of Rihanna's Live Nation Tour.
Two years ago, the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) promoted a concert by the Barbadian superstar at Kensington Oval. On this occasion, the show is being managed by a private promoter.
"On the last occasion as part of the Loud concert tour, the BTA produced a concert here. That is the case this time around. There is a private promoter, Live Nation, which is internationally known, and as part of Rihanna's Caribbean tour she is scheduled to performed in Barbados on November 2", Sealy said.
He explained that the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) was prepared to work with them because of the arrivals and tourism spend the Loud concert generated.
Sealy said that the show would be a coup for Barbados from a tourism industry perspective.
"We are going to work with them becuause there is natural tourism advantage to be gain from it", Sealy said.
