Georgetown: Rice farmers are complaining about the payments they are receiving since the current price for paddy cannot compensate for their expenses.
Even as government claims production for 2013 rice crop continues to be successful. Government is currently working to finalize the Guyana/Venezuela rice agreement for 2013 which will conclude after the holding of that country’s general election.
