Relatives of murdered Plaisance businessman detained

Georgetown: Police detectives have detained a relative of the slain shopkeeper Derrick Cox, who was shot dead by bandits six days ago at his grocery in Ramos Street, Plaisance. 

Reports reveal that relative was seen fleeing from the area on Saturday night when the 71-year-old was shot.

It was also notice that the relative had previous encounters with the police and was arrested at a dance on Boxing Night. The man was identified as one of three individuals seen running from the area after the fatal shots were fired, which was the result of a failed robbery.
