Record rainfall

Barbados recorded abnormal rainfall for the first quarter of the year.

An official from the Meteorological Office Clem Williams, told Trakker News that the average rainfall in the past 30 years has been eight inches.

So far 12 inches of rain has recorded for the first four months of 2011.

"This is the dry season and the rainfall is way above what has been recorded in the last 30 years", says Williams.

" The forecast for this year' hurricane season is above aveage,this is an indication that we will have a lot of rain in the wet season", he added.
