Georgetown : The Council of the Private Sector Commission ratified the appointment of Mr. Ramesh Persaud, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Private Enterprise Development (IPED), as Chairman of the Commission, replacing Mr. Ronald Webster who died on April 27, 2014.
Mr. Ramesh Persaud, who held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Commission from June 2013, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts and holds an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watts University, Scotland.
Mr. Persaud is also the current Chairman of the Caribbean Micro Finance Alliance (CMFA), a regional network of Micro Finance Institutions and Credit Unions which spans nine Caribbean countries.
