Radisson opening new resort

Radisson, one of the world’s best-recognized hotel brands, has announced the opening of the Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados, set on picturesque Carlisle Bay.

The beachfront resort, which recently completed an $8 million renovation, offers 124-rooms including five Pier Suites and one Presidential Suite. This unique property is located in a marine reserve and features a historic Victorian Pier that is 200 feet long and recently declared a United Nations World Heritage site.

Opening the hotel is Christopher Forbes, general manager.

With nearly two miles of white sand beach, this four-star beachfront resort caters to leisure and business travelers. The guestrooms feature unique contemporary Caribbean furnishings, with mother of pearl and mosaic features, a West Indian color palette and clean lines, a private balcony or terrace, and island or ocean views. Room amenities include a 42-inch flat panel television with expanded cable channels, an in-room digital safe, a leisure chair and ottoman, a work desk with ergonomic chair, an iHome alarm clock radio and complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the property.

The resort also offers an on-site beachfront fitness center, an outdoor kids and adult swimming pool, meeting space to accommodate up to 400 people and an authentic Caribbean restaurant and bar, situated directly over the ocean waters. The resort is located nine miles from Grantley Adams International Airport.
