Quarter million dollars trip down under

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and his delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Meeting which formally opens in Australia today.

Based on figures in the official Cabinet paper which details the Prime Minister travel to Australia via London, the full cost is $260,386.41. This inculdes an allotment of $137,078.55 to cover the Prime Minister expenditure;$96293.54 for the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Maxine McClean and $27,014.32 for the cost associated with the trip.

The delegation members are Senator Maxine McClean, Minister of Foreign Affairs,Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office Keith Franklyn, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Charles Burnett, High Commissioner to London Tony Arthur and Stuart's personal assistant Evette King.
