Private Sector Commission meets with APNU

Georgetown : Members of the Private Sector Commission (PSC) met with representatives of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) today at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Hadfield Street, Georgetown. The two sides discussed a wide range of issues including the relationship between the two organizations; the upcoming budget, matters pertaining to the Upper Demerara-Berbice Region-Region 10 and the status of that region’s agreement with the government. The representatives on both sides agreed to meet more frequently (at least once every quarter) and even more regularly when the situation demanded.

 The next meeting which is schedule for  Wednesday January 23, will deal primarily with the budget and both sides will have more representatives in attendance.

Representing APNU at today’s meeting were; Brigadier David Granger Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Joseph Harmon MP, and Mr. Lance Carbury. The PSC representatives were Mr. Ron Webster President, Mr. Ramish Dookhoo, John Willems and Ms. Elizabeth Alleyne.
