President spreads Easter cheer to hundreds of Guyanese children

Georgetown : President Bharrat Jagdeo went out and distributed hundreds of kites to children in various communities across the country.

The President’s first stop was Tiger Bay where school children, some accompanied by adults, thronged the corner of N&S Mattai in an effort to receive their kite, the symbol of Easter.

He then proceeded to Rasville, West Ruimveldt, where a similar welcome awaited him. The President’s final stop for the day was at his home Village of Unity, East Coast Demerara, where more than 100 children received kites, personally distributed by the President.
