Georgetown : Ranks of a mobile police patrol at Mahdia yesterday were travelling along a trail when they were seen by a man who dropped a bag and escaped into the bushes.
A .32 pistol with eight rounds was found in the bag.
Meanwhile a mobile police patrol stopped and searched a man at Durban Street, Georgetown, and found an unlicensed .32 revolver with seven rounds.
The man is in police custody and will be charged shortly.
