Police searches unearthed firearms on patrons at night spots

Georgetown :As the Force continues steadfast in its Anit-crime posture and on account of the recent opportunity crimes committed involving the use of firearms, searches of entertainment houses and night-spots are yielding success.

About 11pm yesterdayt ranks of the Guyana Police Force, conducted a search on a male at Palm Court on Main Street, Georgetown, and found an unlicensed .38 Special Revolver with four matching rounds. He will appear in court soon.

 Friday last, five persons were arrested for possession of arms and ammunition at another night-spot in West Ruimveldt.
