Police charged with murder

Port of Spain: Two Special Reserve Police officers (SRP) are being charged with abduction and murder. Kenrol Patterson, 25 and Kevon Marshall, 27 are the two accused in the murder of Johnny Noel, 32. A third man Mark Collette, 20 is also being charged with the crime. They are charged with taking Noel against his will from an apartment in Maloney on March 11 and killing him on a date unknown, between March 11 and 23 at the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway South. 

Originally two other men were held in association with the crime, one is an Inspector who has since been released after his attorneys successfully filed a writ of habeas corpus, but he can still be arrested and charged at a later date if found to have been in connection to the crime. The other man cannot be identified because he is yet to be charged. The matter was adjourned to April 23.
