Police apologise for wrong name in IHI scandal

St. John’s, Antigua: Police have apologised for naming Gesel Michael as a “person of interest” in the ongoing criminal investigation into the suspected Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Company Ltd (IHI) Japan debt settlement US $14 million dollar scandal, according to a report in the Antigua Observer..

In a press statement yesterday, lawmen substituted the name “Gesel” with Josett Michael stating that they “…made an error in mentioning Gesel Michael when it should have been Josett Michael. Please convey our apologies to the general public and the Michael family.”
