PNC salutes East Indians on173rd Immigration Day.

 

Georgetown : On the occasion of the 173 rd Anniversary of the arrival of East Indians to Guyana, the main opposition, People's national Congress Reform salutes all Guyanese of East Indian descent both at home and abroad who are observing this date in Guyana's historical calendar.

The Party recognises the contribution which East Indian have made to the development the country and the shaping of the cultural tapestry of the nation.

The PNCR says " they are  happy to be identified with all groups in society who seek to celebrate the positive achievements of our ancestors, whose courage, personal sacrifices and commitment have helped to create a unique tapestry of people called Guyanese.

As we reflect on this historical milestone it is the wish of the PNCR that the occasion would be used to indulge ourselves in activities designed at forging and moulding a destiny of racial and cultural cohesion so necessary for building an economically, strong and vibrant nation."
