PHD gets approval to export products to Trinidad.

Bridgetown.

The Pine Hill Dairy (PHD) has received approval to export its milk and juices to Trinidad and Tobago. Two weeks ago Richard Cozier, the managing director of Banks Holding Limited  the parent company of PHD stated that the twin island republic was deleberately targeting PHD products , in order to protect the Trinidadian company Nestle.

After two hour meeting yesterday in Trinidad between Cozier and the Chemical, Food and Drug Agency, Cozier told reporters last night most of the difficulties were resolved.

"The major success of the visit was the accommodation by the Trinidadian authorities to give us a transition period within were we could operate with the current labelling, while we set about to change it to become compliant with their legislation", Cozier said.
