
Georgetown: Head of International Pharmaceutical Agency (IPA) Lloyd Singh was Monday charged for selling unregistered drugs to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
He appeared before City Magistrate, Judy Latchman for the offence. Singh of Lot 257 Seaford Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, denied that he, on August 12 2017 at Lot 226 “B” Camp Street, Georgetown, supplied the unregistered drug Rituximab 100mg to the Georgetown Public Hospital which was in violation to the food and drugs regulations part 3 section 28 of 1977.
He also committed the same offence on Oct 23 2017 at the said location. The magistrate granted the defendant bail in the sum of $60,000. He is expected to return to Court on July 27 2018.
Businessman Lloyd Singh was a major financier of the building at Railway Line, Kitty which now houses the Alliance For Change (AFC) headquarters.
Guyana Wind Farm Incorporated (GWFI) is also headed by Lloyd Singh.
