East Coast Demerara : The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of licensed Firearm holder Joseph Rodrigues of Chateau Margot, East Coast Demerara which occurred at yesterday.
The 83 year old Rodrigues confronted his daughter Angelia Rodrigues over a sum of money that he claimed was owed to him by her now deceased child-father.
He attacked her with a piece of wood which she managed to take away.
The pensioner collected his licensed shotgun and discharged a round at her; however she managed to escape unhurt.
It is reported that Joseph Rodrigues then went back into the house and shot himself to the head.
