East Coast Demerara : At about 10:30 a.m yesterday, a pedal cyclist was struck down by a motor vehicle on the Good Hope Embankment, East Coast Demerara. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he later succumbed while receiving medical treatment.
The pedal cyclist is of East Indian descent and is so far unidentified. The body is at the hospital’s mortuary.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
