Partying students have community fed up

Bridgetown.

The weekend parties of three Bahamian males students on the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies, have shattered the peace of of the West Trrace community in St James.

According to several residents they had endured six months of loud music singing, obscence language and other activies that began around 11p.m and ended at 6 a.m the next day.

Last Friday night, a fete held at the home of the students ended in violence, residents says they heard gunshots.

Police public relations officer, Inspector David Welch confirmed that lawmen went to the scence and spoke to residents who reported hearing gunshots. He said they patrolled the area looking for evidence but did not find any spent shells.
