Parliament’s website survives hackers

Port-of-Spain: The Parliament's website has recovered from an attack from a hacker and is back up and running.

The site was hacked over the weekend by an anonymous person or group going by the name of Codex.

The mysterious hacker warned the administrators of the website to implement stricter security measures, saying it was done to highlight the security vulnerabilities of the website.

Parliament's Corporate Communications Manager Jason Elcock said the administrators took down the website and thouroughly checked it to see what security lapse may have led to the hacker gaining access.

He said all the data was safe and that only the front page of the website was changed with the message and some music.
