Parents urged to take interest in their children’s education

Barbados.

Minister of Education,Ronald Jones, is once more urging parents to take an interest in their children's education.

Speaking to Trakker news over the weekend, Jones said that it took the combination of the student, teacher and parent working together to bring out the best in the child.

According to Jones, parents should take an  interest in their offspring's learning throughout their school life not only in times of exams.

"Parents who only show an interest a few days after they had filled out an form are not playing a part in the education of their children", says Jones.

He expressed concern, that some modern day  parents , seems not to recognise the value of education.
