The Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) is deeply shocked by the sudden passing of our partner and human rights activist Zenita Nicholson.
The Director of PANCAP Coordinating Unit Dereck Springer in reacting to the loss said he is numb and heart-broken since the loss is very personal. He said “We have lost a true champion and a friend.” He described Zenita as full of life, energy and insight and someone who approached her work with great passion and enthusiasm. PANCAP hails her work and recognizes her significant contributions to Merundoi Incorporated and SASOD in Guyana, the PANCAP Regional Stigma and Discrimination Unit and her strides made in advancing the regional human rights agenda.
The Partnership extends our sincere condolences to her children Demetri and Daria and her relatives. Zenita will be deeply missed.
