Painter shot dead after robbery

Georgetown :Police are investigating an alleged robbery/murder committed on Paul Daniels, 39 years, a painter/plumber, of Schoonard, WBD, which occurred about 6:25 a.m. this morning at Lot 253 Independence Boulevard, Albouystown, by two males, one armed with a shotgun.

Enquires revealed that Daniels was at his girlfriend’s home watching television, when the suspects entered through a northern door which was left open and held them at gunpoint. The unarmed suspect relieved Daniels of a gold chain and an undisclosed amount of cash, after which they exited the house. Daniels allegedly perused them and was shot in the region of the stomach. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigations are continuing.
