Back to the job for Petrotrin workers

Port of Spain: The strike by Petrotrin workers has ended. The order was made by the Industrial Court late Tuesday night. The company's claim is that they lost an estimated $700 million during the period the workers protested.

The union president Ancil Roget said they were law-abiding and would comply with the order by the court, therefore all the workers are now on the job. What supprised Mr. Rouget however, was that Petrotrin assured the public there would be enough fuel to supply them but then went to court claiming the opposite. And it was on the basis of that claim, the workers were debarred from taking further action.
