Liliendaal, Georgetown-Venezuela ’s President Hugo Chavez is confident that the leadership capabilities and the will of President Bharrat Jagdeo will make him an effective Chairman of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) and he will lead the body into success with objectivity and bring about concrete actions. President Chavez made this remark to the media while attending the 1V Regular Summit of UNASUR held in Guyana.
The Venezuelan Leader also pledged his country’s commitment and willingness to cooperate with President Jagdeo and UNASUR to work together for the successful execution of President Jagdeo’s task as Chair of UNASUR.
“We are with Guyana and we are with UNASUR,” he vowed.
There has been continuous strengthening of relations between Guyana and Venezuela driven by the foreign policies of both countries as the two nations maintain intense trade in mineral, food, chemicals and wood.
