Crime on the agenda at UWI today

Regional researchers have come together to discuss "Crime and Crime Related Research Topics" today at the St Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI). 

The two-day conference being held at the Learning Resource Centre features post graduate students and from around the region. 
Dr Hamid Ghany, Dean at Social Science faculty at St Augustine and Professor Anthony Harriot, the Director of the Institue of Criminal Justice and Secuirity at the Mona campus are the chairpersons for the conference. 
Ghany said the conference is being hosted to find a way to battle the region’s rising crime scourge.
Deputy top cop Jack Ewatski is present at the conference.
