Police moving on criminals bases

Bridgetown Barbados: The Royal Barbados Force will continue to clamp down on communities in Barbados that have become an operating base for criminals on the island.
Inspector David Welch the Public Relations Officer of the Force said that the cops are firm in the intention   to arrest criminals who have established an operating base in the urban areas of Barbados and are causing havoc on the island.
Last weekend the Police conducting raids and searches in the urban area of Deacon Farm with sniffer dogs and for over three hours searched bushes and houses, five men were arrested during the raid.
Speaking at a press briefing,  Welch said that  so far the Police have raided five blocks and have netted six guns have been found during the raid along with 33 pounds of marijuana, ,306 marijuana plants(some as high as 4 feet), 6 ski mask and a bulletproof vest.
