Georgetown: After being involved in a vehicular accident on February 23, 2014 the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) disclosed that there will be no charges against the Minister since the affected parties, Jageshwar Hira and his passenger, Parbattie Shivcharan,, have stated that they no longer wish to pursue the matter.
Attorney General Anil Nandlall had defended Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh's decision to leave the scene of a recent road accident, saying the country's financial czar was injured and rushed to seek medical attention.
Nandlall said the minister was struck at the back of his head on impact with the car and he sought treatment at a city hospital.
