Lalu Vaswani is the new president of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), he replaced Andy Armstrong who held the post for the past two years.
Vaswani said during his term as at the helm of the BCCI, he will explore the development implementation of a one stop centre for business in collaboration with stakeholders in Renewable Energy, Finance and Insurance, in a user-friendly environment to serve as a catalyst for making into reality Green Certified Business.
Another area of focus for Vaswani will be to tackle increasing obesity on the island, this will be done through the Health and Wellness Committee which in collaboration with shareholders to encourage companies with successfully established programmes in Health and Wellness to offer clinics in the community as a catalyst for national outreach.
