Berbice : Last night two men armed with a handgun and a knife entered a fuel service centre at Onderneeming, West Coast Berbice, and held up the three pump attendants and took away $80,000.00.
During the incident, the man with the firearm discharged a round to scare the victims which struck his accomplice to his head.
The perpetrator with the firearm then took away motor vehicle PTT 2704, a silver grey Allion, from a customer and escaped.
His accomplice who has been identified as Jermaine Jerrick, 35 years, of Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara, was pronounced dead at the Fort Wellington Hospital, WCB.
Investigations are in progress.
