National Assembly to table, enact Protected Areas Bill –Dr Luncheon

Georgetown : Cabinet meeting Tuesday last has approved the tabling of the Protected Areas Bill in the National Assembly and according to Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. Roger Luncheon, it is anticipated that the Bill will be passed into law.
“It is anticipated that the order paper for Thursday would include the adoption of the report, of the special select committee that dealt with the Consumer Affairs Bill, the adoption of which would lead to its third reading and it likely enactment,” he said.
Dr. Luncheon stated that Members of Parliament will continue to examine the Access to Information Bill of 2011, as it is not expected to be debated at the today’s  sitting of the National Assembly.
