Berbice : Two women were today arraigned before His Worship Krisendat Persaud at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court for the murder of Abdool Shakiel Majid, age 42 years a Guyanese who at the time of his demise resided in the USA.
Hemwattie Abdulla called “Anita”, age 37 years a nurse of 11602 – 132nd Street, Ozone Park, New York, USA and Seerojonie Permaul called “Usha” age 42 years of 52 Belvedere Housing Scheme, Corentyne were not required to plead. They were both remanded and will have to return to the No. 51 Magistrates’ Court on May 23rd, 2012.
