Siparia: Twenty-year-old Candace Johnson the mother charged with the killing of her two-year-old daughter Aliyah Johnson remains in police custody at the Women's Prison as bail valued at $75,000 has not been posted.
The bail was approved by Magistrate Joanne Connor in the Siparia Magistrates Court on Monday when Johnson appeared charged with Aliyah's killing.
However relatives of the woman who is said to be two months pregnant have been unable to post her bail.
Aliyah was discovered dead on Easter Sunday. An autopsy revealed she had been beaten to death.
