Georgetown : On February 21, 2016, the police received a report from a woman that her eight-year-old son Emanuel King, of Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, had fallen out of a tree and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
However, during investigations into the matter, on February 24, 2016, she admitted that she had strangled the child.
She has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The police are awaiting the results of the post mortem examination.
