PPP not surprised by Nagamootoo’s resignation

Georgetown :  The People’s Progressive Party has today received a letter from Moses Nagamootoo confirming his resignation as a Member of the Party.

Public relations officer Mahendra Roopnarine said, this action comes as no surprise as Nagamootoo for a while has not been participating in the Party’s bodies and activities.

Roopnarine claims that Nagamootoo’s dissatisfaction with the Party was heightened after he failed to secure any support for his bid as the Presidential Candidate of the PPP/C for the 2011 elections.

However it is sad that he continues to make unfounded charges against the party’s leadership as well as the Government.

The party PR wents on to say "today’s action by Nagamootoo was predictable given his longstanding public dissatisfaction at not being supported by the membership and leadership for his bid as the Presidential Candidate, his efforts to secure a spot in Government in 2005 and the membership’s non-support for him to be a member of the Executive Committee following his withdrawal from the body in 2005.

The membership of the PPP will not be distracted by this latest Nagamootoo publicity antic".

  1. Are you chaps for real?
You, PPP, are attempting to throw stones at the Mighty, Lean and Clean Moses NAGAMOOTOO!
The Guyanese peoples are on the side of Moses and you the PPP are history.
Change in the national form of the Alliance For Change (AFC) IS ON THE IMMEDIATE HORIZON.
Professional Guyanese Accountants and Auditors ARE LINING UP TO COME TO GUYANA AND DO THE CHECKS AND BALANCES AND PINPOINT THE GUILTY.
The new AFC ADMINISTRATION of which Moses Nagamootoo will definitely be an integral part, WILL DISPENSE JUSTICE WITH MERCY
So do what you can do best……cuss and try to denigrate your former members/leaders. The Guyanese have found your play book and they will give you an unceremonious dispatch on November 28 2011.
The PPP will wither away and disappear.
Johnnies come lately don’t sustain, build and bring such parties back to power.
Where are your Activists/militants now PPP?
Members and supporters of the former PPP will be assimilated into the body politics of their dear land of Guyana. The good hard pressed and suffering Guyanese peoples will experience immediate relief form the oppressive policies of the defeated and hated PPP for betraying the founding principles and practices of the Cheddi Jagan lead PPP.
