Georgetown : Guyana’s Minister of Labour, Dr. Nanda K. Gopaul has joined his Organisation of American States’ colleagues as the grouping prepares for the upcoming Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labour scheduled to take place from November 11 to12, 2013 in Columbia.
This is the second preparatory meeting, and it is taking place in Washington D.C. from September 18-20, 2013. Among other things, the meeting will negotiate the draft Declaration and draft Plan of Action of the XVIII Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labour to be approved at the Conference in November. The agenda also includes presentations from working groups.
The Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labour is the premier hemispheric forum for the discussion of labour matters at the ministerial level and this year it will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
