East Coast Demerara : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred this morning at Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD), and which resulted in the death of Vernon Gordon, 68 years, of North Haslington, ECD.
Investigations have so far revealed that Vernon Gordon is alleged to have attempted to cross the Public Road and was struck down by a mini-bus. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
