East Coast Demerara : About 10pm. yesterday, a mini-bus driven by Jermain Brown, 38 years, of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was stopped by a man along the Railway Embankment at Liliendaal, ECD.
The man pulled out a firearm as he entering the vehicle, while another man approached the driver.
At this point Jermain Brown accelerated the vehicle and drove away during which the armed man discharged a round which struck him to his back.
He has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment as the investigations continue.
