North West District : At about 10pm yesterday, Francis Mc Pherson of Lime Street, Georgetown, and Eon Bourne of Port Kaituma, North West District, were travelling on an ATV along the trail at Hymakuru Backdam, Port Kaituma, when they were held up by two men armed with handguns.
During the armed robbery Eon Bourne was shot and injured to his right thigh by the perpetrators who took away a quantity of gold and escaped.
Investigations are in progress.
