Mexican Govt opens 2016 Scholarships Programme

scholarshipGeorgetown: Following the recent posting of the 2015 Call for the Special Programmes of the Mexican Government Scholarships, the Embassy of Mexico in Guyana is further pleased to inform of the launching of the 2016 Call for Mexican Government Scholarships for International Students which will remain open until August 31, 2015.

This particular programme opens the opportunity to candidates from 180 countries, including Guyana, to study a specialisation, master or doctorate, or take part in an academic mobility programme in Mexico, a release from the Embassy said. Additional benefits apply for candidates from Guyana when enrolling in Engineering, Health, Biotechnology, Genomics, Mechatronics, Nanotechnology and Environment, or a Spanish preparatory course.

The Embassy said for this edition, 71 top Mexican universities and research centres have partnered with AMEXCID, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation, to offer a whole array of academic programmes which will allow international students to benefit from the progress achieved by Mexico in many areas of science and humanities.  Information on the programme as well as participating universities and research centres is available at: http://www.amexcid.gob.mx/index.php/es/oferta-de-becas-para-extranjeros/
