Man stabbed after stealing security guard’s IPod and Cellular phone

Georgetown : Investigations are being conducted into the murder of Nigel Lawson of Camp Street, Georgetown, which occurred last night, at Quamina Street, Georgetown.

Investigations so far have revealed that a Security Guard on duty at a residence in Quamina Street, had left his IPod and cell phone on a chair in front of the building while making checks around.

On his return to the front the guard saw Nigel Lawson leaving the compound and his IPod and cell phone missing. The guard confronted Nigel Lawson and an argument ensued which developed into an altercation and during which Nigel Lawson was stabbed. The IPod and cell phone was retrieved from Nigel Lawson by the security guard.

Nigel Lawson was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital and the suspect is in police custody as the investigations continue.
