Man shot – was in the wrong place at the wrong time

Georgetown : At about 2:45pm yesterday, two men were involved in an argument on the Plaisance Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara (ECD), when one of them discharged rounds at the other. The bullet missed the intended target and hit a bystander Jomo Lewis, 34 years, of Plaisance Squatting Area, ECD, to his shoulder and abdomen. He has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect has not yet been arrested.

The investigations are in progress.
