Man shot dead over the weekend

 

Bridgetown.

Don Cox a securty guard of Lion Castle, St Thomas, was shot dead at the View Pont Bar, Carrington Village in the same parish on Saturday night.

The 34 year old man was among four people shot at a Guinness Rush Hour Promotion held at the bar.

Two teenage sisters Bree Ann Blackman, 16 and Khadija Blackman,18, were also shot during the melee.

According to police's officials Cox was standing near to the entrance of the historic Welchman Hall Gully when he was shot.

His sister Nicole Greenidge who he resided with told journalists that she was surprised when her brother went to the Guinness Rush Hour promotion.

"I was surprised when Don said he was going to the Guinness Rush Hour Promotion because he was building a house and had stopped going out in an attempt to save money", Greenidge said.
